Tin Can Creative Cottage

Keeping my hands busy has made living in a small area with two dogs, and a guy, alot easier.
We are waiting patiently for our home to be built in the country. This is our retirement home and awaits grandchildren (9) and friends to come and join us in the country. Living on a dirt road in Texas during a drought has been a challenge for my red Miata.  She usally travels on asphalt or concrete. Fortunately she will be back on asphalt going to our new home.
So far, I have knitted two blankets, crocheted one, made two little girl knitted tops, and a family cookbook using scrapbooking technique and I have only been  here four months.
Prior to this I was on my own for 15 years.  What an adjustment. Never too old to adjust to new ways and  learn something new which is what I did.
The new home has a room for just the activities I love to do instead of a 54x64 table.
It is true that you can adjust to anything as long as you have a positive attitude. Oh, we had our
differences in this time but fortunately we have enough years on us that we worked it out peacefully.
